I am coming to a crossroads in my life. In too few days, I will be moving back home to California from the Pacific North West. I am excited–but the journey is bittersweet. My love is unsure of his next moves: we don’t know if he will be joining me there. I am also doing some traveling in Europe this summer with my best girlfriend, allowing some time for both me and him to figure things out. I will be doing a lot of writing, and soaking up the images and scents and stories that present themselves to me there (much of which will hopefully be shared here, too). I am nervous, but remind myself that change, despite its frequent discomfort, is beneficial. It will all work out for the best–in one way or another.

This feeling you have… resonates! Visited Oregon. A few towns down the 101 and some of Portland. Fell in love! Found my home. Back in Texas I find myself very homesick.
Wish you the best and hope you find the balance and peace you seek. Transitions are indeed difficult animals. Thank goodness for a creative outlet.
Hugs! Nice to meet you.

It is lovely here, truly! And yes… difficult animals that in time are trained.
I would love to visit Texas soon–I hear that there are lots of wonderful writing groups/retreats there.
Very nice to meet you!

AnElephant wishes you luck in your changing life.
And if your European travels bring you near St Tropez he will treat you to a glass of the local rosé wine.
